What exactly is "sterling silver?
Sterling Silver is a mixture of 925 parts fine silver and 75 parts copper, also read as 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper. While other metals besides copper can be mixed with silver to form “sterling silver”, extensive research and testing has shown copper to be an ideal mate to silver improving silver’s hardness and durability without affecting its naturally beautiful color.
Does your sterling silver tarnish?
All sterling silver will tarnish. This black tarnish is caused as a result of the silver reacting with gases in the air such as sulfur and/or hydrogen sulfide. To help minimize this effect, many sterling silver pieces are coated with either rhodium or platinum which helps to keep them from tarnishing, but these coatings will wear off in time, at which point you will need to properly clean your jewelry to remove this unwanted effect.
How can I properly care for my sterling silver items?
Regular wearing of your silver jewelry is one of the best ways to prevent tarnish from building up. However, regular cleaning of all your silver items will prevent tarnish and keep your silver looking as good as the day you bought it.

Tarnish is most easily removed when it first becomes visible. Be sure to use products formulated specifically to remove tarnish. There are many silver polishes, solutions or cloths appropriate for removing tarnish. They are readily available at many retail stores as well as from companies doing business on the Internet.

How do I place an order online?
Add your item(s) to your "cart". If you are only ordering one item, click the “Checkout Now” button near the bottom of your cart page and complete your transaction as prompted. If you click the “Continue Shopping” button, but find you are still ready to checkout, simply click the “My Shopping Cart” icon located in the top right corner of any product page or the home page, and you will be redirected to the cart page where you can checkout as described above.
How do I know if ordering online is secure?
Security is a top priority at Jewels of Denial. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.

When our order form asks you to enter sensitive information (such as your credit card number), that information is encrypted and protected with the best encryption software currently available in the industry - SSL. We use the most advanced form of SSL software available: 256-bit encryption by GeoTrust which is owned by VeriSign, the industry leader in online transaction security. Access to all of our users' information is restricted. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information. I didn't see an order confirmation page. Was my order submitted successfully?
If you didn't see an order confirmation page even though you clicked the “submit order” button, our server probably still received your order. This happens when communication back to your PC is interrupted following your order submission. You may wish to contact our Customer Service Department to make sure your order was received.
After I submit an order, how will I be advised of my order's progress?
Jewels of Denial will keep you informed of your order via e-mail. Your tracking number will be emailed to you once your package has been shipped. You may also check our online order status page for additional updates.
How long does it generally take to process an order?
Most orders are shipped out within 24 hours after your order has been submitted and we have payment authorization.
What happens if an item is backordered or out-of-stock?
If an item is found to be out of stock after your order has been placed, then the item will be automatically removed from your order. We will not hold up an order because an item is backordered. You will not be charged for the backordered item or for the shipping cost of the item. The item that was backordered will have to be re-ordered online when it becomes available again.

We do not sell merchandise that we don't have in-stock, which is why we provide a convenient Auto-Notify feature. Simply click the Auto-Notify button and fill in your email address, and you'll receive an e-mail notification as soon as the product becomes available for purchase.
How can I track the status of my order?

What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept the following forms of payment for online purchases: VISA®, MasterCard®, American Express®, Discover®, PayPal, and eChecks. Please note that we do not ship orders C.O.D.

We accept eChecks in addition to credit card payments.

Will you charge sales tax on my order?
We are required by law to collect sales tax for orders shipped into states where we have a physical presence. Please add applicable sales tax to orders being shipped to Kansas only.
How do I use a promotion code or a gift card on your site?
During checkout, enter the code found on your promotional piece in the "Coupon or Gift Card" box and click the "Update Cart" button. Your discount will not be reflected in the "Sub Total" line and will now read "Sub Total (Including Discounts)" with the discounted price.
I entered a promotional code, but the price of my item didn't change, what's the problem?
You have either used a promotional code that is expired or a code that is not valid for the item being purchased.


Shipping

How do I determine the shipping charges on my order?
Standard shipping is $3.99 for USPS First Class Mail on all orders shipped to destinations within the United States and $5.99 to Canada and Australia for USPS First Class International Mail. You can also upgrade to Priority Mail (U.S. only) for a flat rate of $6.95 regardless of your order size.
When can I expect to receive the items I ordered?
We are closed Saturdays, Sundays and standard U.S. Holidays. All orders received during these times will be processed on the next business day. Once your order has shipped, your estimated time of arrival will be determined by your local USPS guidelines for delivery. Since the majority of our packages ship via USPS First Class Mail or USPS Priority Mail, you should receive your items in about 2-3 business days from the date of shipment. International Orders can take up to 3 weeks for delivery.
Do you ship to international addresses?
Outside the U.S., we only ship to the Canada and Australia via USPS First Class International Mail. Please note that if your package is sent to one of these two International destinations, you WILL NOT be able to track your package (this is a limitation of the USPS).
Can my order be shipped to a P.O. Box?
We encourage you to use a street address as your ship-to address. When you use a street address, it's much more likely that your order will be updated with tracking information online. While we're happy to send your order to a PO box via USPS, if we do, tracking information may delayed or not even available.
The status of my order online shows that it has been shipped several days ago, and I think I should have received my shipment by now, what should I do?
If 7 days have passed since you received our shipping confirmation via e-mail, and you still do not have your First Class Mail or Priority Mail shipment, please send an e-mail to our Customer Service Department or call (877) 246-5762. Keep in mind that orders placed and/or shipped during recognized holidays may result in slight delivery delays.


Problems/Returns

Can I return or exchange my purchase if I don't like it?
Products can be returned for a refund or like-item exchange within 30 days of the shipping date on your invoice.

The products(s) must be returned in new condition in the original packing materials. For returns, a full refund of the purchase price will be issued (shipping charges are not refundable). For exchanges or refunds, you are responsible for shipping the item(s) back to us. We will cover the cost of shipping replacement item(s) back to you.
Misprints
We make every effort to ensure the accuracy of all information displayed on our site. We reserve the right to correct any errors, whether in pricing, description, specifications, pictures, etc. Jewels of Denial is not responsible for typographic or technical errors. Should you experience a problem with your order as a result of a misprint on our site, we will work with you to rectify the problem to your satisfaction.
